Baccara sold more than 16 million copies of \u201cYes Sir, I Can Boogie\u201d and featured in the 1977 edition of the Guinness Book of Records as the highest-selling female musical group to date. A successful follow-up single (&#8220;Sorry, I&#8217;m a Lady&#8221;) and European tour led to a number of album releases, numerous television appearances and the duo&#8217;s selection to represent Luxembourg in the Eurovision Song Contest 1978.<\/p>\n<p>After Baccara split Mayte Mateos, began to perform in 1999 with Cristina Sevilla (March 1965) publishing two recordings in the six years of being together:<br \/>\nB\u00e1ccara 2000 (in 1999)<br \/>\nSoy tu Venus (in 2004)<\/p>\n<p>Cristina Sevilla joined Mar\u00eda Mendiola in 2010 until September 2021, publishing their first album together in 2017.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I belong to your heart&#8221;, in addition to his latest single &#8220;No Sir, don&#8217;t say Goodbye&#8221; published in July 2021, under the direction of producer Luis Rodriguez (Team 33) his current label.<br \/>\nMar\u00eda Mendiola, original founder of the duo Baccara, performed 11 incredible years together with Cristina Sevilla.<\/p>\n<p>To carry on Maria Mendiola\u2019s legacy Cristina Sevilla returns to take up the duo again, with strength and enthusiasm, together with Helen de Quiroga (December 1964), to embark on a new path together, at the request of numerous fans and their work and artistic environment.<\/p>\n<p>Helen de Quiroga, studied at the school of dramatic art in Malaga, has collaborated in the last 25 years with renowned Spanish and international artists, such as Miguel Bos\u00e9, Julio Iglesias, Alejandro Sanz, Joaqu\u00edn Sabina, Ana Torroja, among others, in addition to having published several record works with \u201cDversion\u201d, throughout his long career.<\/p>\n<p>She has starred in the musical &#8220;Cat&#8217;s, in the role of Grizabella, and in other roles in&#8221; Annie &#8220;,&#8221; The magic of Broadway &#8220;and in&#8221; Scaramouche &#8220;, as Queen Marie Antoinette.<br \/>\nShe has also put her voice sung in Spanish to different Disney characters, such as Thal\u00eda, the muse of music in &#8220;Hercules&#8221;, \u00darsula, the octopus witch from &#8220;The Little Mermaid&#8221; and Zira from &#8220;The Lion King&#8221;<br \/>\nHelen and Cristina have known each other for more than
