Andy Schweitzer, I am the Boogieman

ANDY SCHWEITZER, I AM THE BOOGIEMAN

Boogie-woogie is a music genre that became popular during the late 1920s.

The lyrics of one of the earliest hits, “Pinetop’s Boogie Woogie” by Pinetop Smith, consist entirely of instructions to dancers:

“Now, when I tell you to hold yourself, don’t you move a peg.

And when I tell you to get it, I want you to Boogie Woogie!”

Andy Schweitzer One man, one piano, one microphone. Andy Schweitzer was born in Austria. He did not enjoy his classical piano training, which he started at the age of 6, a lot. During high school, he was playing in Top 40 Bands. He also got in contact with Boogie Woogie, a pumping piano music style, and this made him love his piano. Axel Zwingenberger and Wince Weber gave a lot of inspiration to him………I am the Boogieman! Andy Schweitzer started his Pop career in 1984 with his band “JOY”, and he is touring successfully till today.

Hits like “Touch by Touch” and “Valerie” became famous worldwide. Boogie Woogie, Blues, and Rock and Roll are his second big love!
